Which bags should I put out?

Enter any part of your address eg. house name or road name or your full post code in the field below, including a space after the first 3 digits, for example:  GY1 1WN   Please give the external results a short time to compile and display, then click an address in the list for full details.

Please note: All dates displayed refer to the evening in which you put out waste, not to the actual date of collection by our contractors.


A reminder of what goes into your bags and containers


Clear bag
Cardboard, paper, magazines, envelopes. (no paper or cardboard contaminated with food).

Blue bag
Milk & food cartons, tins & cans, empty aerosol containers, plastic tops & can lids, aluminium containers and foil. Plastic bottles, tubs, trays and pots, packaging from food, drink, cosmetics, toiletries, cleaning products, etc. food & drink cartons. (please ensure all items are clean and food free). The cleaner the items the more value and less cost to recycle. Do not include black plastic, thin film, carrier bags or polythene sacks.

Glass bag 
Any glass, bottles and jars - any colour. Please rinse out first. Do not include drinks glasses, window glass, pyrex cookware or crockery

Food waste 
All uneaten food and plate scrapings. Mouldy or out of date food (including ready meals) removed from their packaging. Raw and cooked meat, fish including bones. Tea bags and coffee grounds. Dairy products, cheese, egg, egg shells and yogurt. Rice, pasta and beans. Bread, cake and pastries. Raw and cooked vegetables and fruit, whole and peelings. Do not include packaging of any kind, liquids such as milk, oil or liquid fat and any material that is not food waste.

There are no changes to Bank Holiday collections this year, please set out your waste and recycling as normal.
