Cigarette Ballot Bins given the Vote of Confidence Today, ST PETER PORT DOUZAINE installed Guernsey’s first Cigarette Ballot Bins in town outside Boots the Chemist and at the Albany next to the bus terminus to combat the rising numbers of cigarette butts found littered on the ground.

It’s time to have your say Thursday 12th May 2022 Parishioners, rate payers and users of St Peter Port Parish are invited to join us at our next Parish drop in at Constables Office in Lefebvre Street on Saturday 14 May 2022 10:00 – Noon to have your say. Douzenier Mary McDermott said “We really hope that parishioners take this opportunity to share their opinions and ideas regarding the Parish’s the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and 2023 Liberation Day celebrations or even the up-and-coming hedge and stream inspections. As always Douzeniers will be on hand to discuss a pertinent Parish matters.

Elena Fedorenko, a Ukranian pianist and music teacher living on the island has selected a programme to reflect on the conflict, including the works of Bach, Handel and Piazzolla, as well as Ukranian composers including Kancheli and Mayboroda. Town Church doors open at 6pm Friday 6th May 2022-free entry - all donations appreciated to UK charity British-Ukranian Aid.
