We are seeking a friendly, professional and organised person to join the St Peter Port Parish Office as an Office Administrator, who will also work alongside Douzeniers with some project responsibility.
The successful candidate would ideally have experience of working in a busy office and some understanding of Parish responsibilities with the aptitude to learn more.

Duties
Parish Office Administrator with some project responsibilities.
Duties:
- Assist with organising Parish events
- Work with a douzenier to update media and communication platforms
- Read, understand and adhere to policies, procedures and protocols and report any breaches thereon.
- Help maintain a health and safety compliant office and positively contribute to the team.
- Outlining a business’s project objectives clearly.
- Taking part in project meetings and proposing adjustments.
- Setting and adhering to a budget and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Consistently monitoring the costs, progress and quality of a project.
- Organising all project-related paperwork.
- Communicating with clients to continuously define project objectives.
- Negotiating with the States and other stakeholders.
- Coordinating all project team members so workflow remains on schedule.
- Some Project fund raising
Personal Attributes and Experience:
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of Social Media
Advantageous but not essential:
- Leading on projects to conclusion
- Knowledge of Parish administration
Job Type: Temporary
Expected hours: 18 hours per week
Pay: Parish Office Administrator: £ 22,000 - £26,000 per year
